2010年12月12日にkit galleryをスタートしてから、15年の月日が流れました。
この間、僕たちは大きな地震やパンデミックといった初めての出来事を経験しましたが、創造することを止めない作家の皆さんに支えられ、ここまで続けてくることができました。

ギャラリーを立ち上げた当初は、「初めて個展を開く」という方も多く、お互いに手探りの日々でした。
どこか"初めてライブをやるライブハウスの昼の部"のようで、そこに小さな誇りを感じていました。
そして今も、その気持ちは変わらず持ち続けています。

10周年の時はウイルスの猛威により何もできずに過ぎてしまいましたが、15周年の今回は、やはり何か形にしたいと思い、これまでご縁のあった作家の皆さんに声をかけさせていただきました。

15周年にちなみ、15組のアーティストにご参加いただきます。
イラストレーター、デザイナー、写真家など、ジャンルはさまざまですが、皆さん僕が心から敬愛する大切な方たちです。
ぜひ足を運んでいただけたら嬉しく思います。

そして16年目も、ライブハウスの昼の部のような、作家さんのリビングルームのような、そんなkit galleryを続けていきたいと思っています。
これからもどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

It has been 15 years since we opened kit gallery on December 12, 2010.
During this time, we experienced major events such as a great earthquake and a pandemic -- things we had never gone through before.
Yet, thanks to the artists who never stopped creating, we've somehow managed to keep going all these years.

When we first started the gallery, many of the artists were holding their very first solo exhibitions.
We were all figuring things out together -- it felt a bit like the "daytime slot" of a live house where someone plays their very first gig.
There was a quiet sense of pride in that, and I still feel the same way today.

When the 10th anniversary came around, the pandemic forced us to let it pass quietly.
But for the 15th anniversary, I wanted to do something special, so I reached out to artists who have been part of our journey over the years.

In honor of our 15th year, 15 artists will be joining us -- illustrators, designers, photographers, and more.
Each of them is someone I truly love and respect.
I hope you'll come by and celebrate with us.

As we step into our 16th year, I want kit gallery to remain what it has always been --
like a live house's daytime show, or a cozy living room for artists.
